Thanksgiving dinner

Surrounded by family you love...

does it get any better than Thanksgiving!?!?!?

(Dede and Sharon both brought one each in case the other forgot)

pumpkin + pecan pie

pumpkin ginger cake with caramel sauce

(my sister loves me!)

As grateful as we felt for this delicious meal...we are so much more grateful for the people we love!!!

Even nephews who cross their eyes in all of their family pictures :)

falling snow

I get a pit in my stomach when I think of icy roads, cold toes, snow in March...winter.

But even I can appreciate the beauty in the snow falling.

It makes everything it touches look a bit more magical.

a glimpse of our day...

I was sitting with Ellie as she waited for her ride to swim team.

She had a few minutes so she picked up her guitar.

road trip

 For UEA we decided to head to Arizona!  It is always sunny and warm!  There are lots of people we love to visit there!  It was my niece's birthday!  AND I wanted to take our family pictures in an orange grove :)  The highlight was not the family pictures (why did I not choose my outfit more carefully...I look 5 months pregnant...and I am not!) the highlight was the people we saw and spent time with!  Those people were hard to leave.  We will be back!

Some of my very favorite days are spent at home...

wiping down counters...
organizing the calendar...

and enjoying the sounds of family life.

Ellie was waiting for her ride.  She decided to pick up her guitar.  I just sat and listened and enjoyed every minute of it.
